Bellas Mittens Available

Dear All Twilighters
I just wanted to do a quick (and very belated) update to let everyone know that we HAVE THE MITTENS AVAILABLE TO BUY right now!!!!
There are lots of pairs ready and waiting of the original long cabled mittens that Bella Swan wears in the Twilight films. These are the originals- same design, pattern, colour, yarn and even knitted by the same people who made the ones used in the films.
They are seriously nice mittens and we have a lot of happy customers to prove it! Unfortunately at the beginning they took a while to ship because we were just swamped but now all is well and we usually send within 24 hours of receiving the order.
The mittens cost £47 (British Pounds), the amount you are charged in other currencies depends on the current exchange rate (check the reuters website to find this out)- they were originally £54 but we reduced them a bit as they are being sold direct from us rather than through stockists.
If you need any help please feel free to e-mail me at ruth@ruthcross.com or to immediately order your pair just click this link- we look forwards to hearing from you and getting you the real thing rather than a cheap copy!

Entertainment weekly coverage

Here is the coverage we had in Entertainment weekly in the issue 13th February explaining this amazing story!

Thursday 26 February 2009

Once upon a time in a small cathedral city in England, a knitwear company was born. A girl called Ruth left University and started designing knitwear which she showed to shops and made it to order for them. One of these shops was Aubergine in Portland Oregon in the USA and this is where Wendy Chuck, costume designer bought a long pair of cabled mittens in Drab Bronze. Wendy used the mittens for the costume of Bella in Twilight and a cult was born.

However, nobody told Ruth that her mittens had found such fame and were adored everywhere, until a lovely lady called Vanessa tracked her down in her search for a pair like Bellas. On Wednesday 21st January 2009 we realised what had happened, dug out our old pattern book and called the mill to find out if the yarn was still available. Everything was ready, now all we needed was some orders......

The rest is history and we would like to thank every single one of you Twi- Hard Twilighters out there, we think you're great and hope you enjoy our original Bellas mittens.

We invite you to upload a picture of you in your Bellas mittens with a bit about you to add to our Blog- gallery!
